Reagindo ao aumento da exploração pelo trabalho, contra a exclusão social e a repressão que os acompanha, trabalhadores no mundo inteiro organizam medidas de resistência. Dentro deste quadro, não existe lugar "privilegiado" ou “sem problemas”. Mundialmente, patrões e governantes realizam uma ofensiva para tirar tudo daqueles que exploram e governam.
As causas são diversas: aumento de preços e de impostos, demissões, violência policial e do governo, salários diminuídos, racismo, destruição do meio ambiente. Em todo lugar, o que não falta é causa para lutar contra o sistema.
Falando em "luta contra terrorismo" (e aqui, em "luta contra o crime organizado"), a elite persegue e reprime qualquer tipo de oposição. E assim, armam seus agentes, monitoram na Internet e nas ruas. Tudo para garantir a segurança... de pouquíssimas pessoas.
No México, mesmo depois da invasão policial, o povo de Oaxaca resiste com protestos e ocupações. Na Bolívia, desde janeiro, mineiros e operários de usinas lutam contra as medidas do governo Morales. No Sudão (África), estudantes vão às ruas contra o governo. Em Bangladesh (Ásia), no último ano foram 2 milhões de operários grevistas. No último mês de abril, uma onda de greves parou a Argentina após o assassinato de um professor por policiais em um protesto. Em Portugal, as lutas não param.
Na Espanha, os trabalhadores ignoraram os sindicatos – que fizeram acordo com os patrões - e foram enfrentar os governos e empresários. Na França e na Dinamarca os estudantes e sem-teto lutam contra as medidas autoritárias dos governos. Desde o reveillon aumentam os protestos nos subúrbios franceses.
Na Grécia, os estudantes fazem protestos e ações armadas contra as autoridades e a “elite”. Na França, na Inglaterra, na Holanda e na Alemanha, lutas contra as demissões (Volkswagen, Alcatel, Airbus). Na Nova Zelândia o povo foi para as ruas enfrentar os neo-nazistas neste início de ano. E no Haiti, aumenta a resistência contra as tropas invasoras da ONU (incluindo as brasileiras), desmentindo a versão da imprensa.
No Egito, no Líbano, em Israel e no Irã estouram ondas de greves e protestos. Estes fatos (que a imprensa esconde ou distorce) mostram que em todo lugar as pessoas estão inconformadas com o tipo de vida que levam. E lutam para mudar.
